Abstract

Wheat is also one of the most important staple foods in India and other countries. It belongs to family Poaceae. It is a universal crop and it can be successfully grown in both temperate and tropical countries. The average yield of wheat in India is only about 900kg/hec. The average chemical composition in 66-70% starch, 12% protein and 1.5% oils. PGRs like IAA, GA, SA and insecticide Endosulphan used to enhance seed germination and investigated plant growth with different concentrations Viz., 000 (control), 500,1000, 1500 and 2000ppm. The result were investigated that seed germination was not significant at any PGRs and insecticide. But the plant length, shoot length and root length were significantly increased in Endosulphan as compare to control in higher concentration i.e. 1500 and 2000ppm. In IAA plant length was significant in 1000 and 1500ppm. In GA plant length was significant in 1500ppm and plant length, shoot length and root length were also significant in 1000, 1500 and 2000ppm. In SA except seed germination showed good result in plant growth i.e. plant length, shoot length and root length in all concentrations as the SA is a plant hormone. Fresh weight, dry weight did not any difference as compare to control in any PGRs and insecticide. So, GA and SA were showed good result in plant growth as they are growth regulators.
