Abstract

The present investigation entitled “Effect of GA3 and bio fertilizers on growth, flowering and yield of okra (Abelmoschus esculantus L. Monech) cv. S-51” was carried out during the summer season in 2014 in the Department of Horticulture, C. C. S. University Campus,
Meerut, UP, India. The experiment was laid out randomized Block Design. There were 9 treatment combinations, replicated three times. Gibrellic acid and bio fertilizers were used individually as well as in combination. The maximum result viz. days taken to germination (3.5), height of plant(75.2 cm.) no. of leave per plant (23.1), no. of das taken to flowering (45.39), no. of days taken to pod formation 51.11), pod length (13.41 cm.), fresh pod weight (.13gm.), no. of pod/plant (15.66),weight of pod/plant (39.26 gm.), field off pod (73.12 q/ha) under the treatment T8 where (GA3@50 ppm ₊ Azosprillium@55kg/ha) compare to the control and other treatments. All data showed significantly affected with the treatment T8.
