Abstract

The present investigation was carried out at Bio-control laboratory, Department of Entomology, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut, (U.P.) during the Rabi 2016-17 and 2017-18. The experiment was conducted in Crop
Research Centre (CRC), Chirori Farm, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut (U.P.). The highest sex ratio of 1:1.9 was obtained with artificial diet followed by 1:1.8, 1:1.7 and 1:1.4 with chickpea, pea and pigeon pea, respectively of
H. armigera on chickpea diet. Optimization studies on inoculation dose revealed that larval mortality increase as the inoculums dose advanced.
