Abstract

The present study was carried out in Pune district of Maharashtra state in the year 2024-25. This district was selected because it has the maximum number of Nodal Training Institute and DAESI trained agricultural input dealers. There are 8 Nodal Training institute
in Pune district which provide DAESI training. So, all 8 Nodal Training Institutes were selected for study and from each Nodal Training Institute 15 input dealers were selected by using simple random sampling method thus the total sample comprised of 120
respondents. An ex-post facto research design was used for research. A structured interview schedule was used to gather the required data. The findings revealed that major constraints reported by the agricultural input dealers were course curriculum of DAESI not include latest technology in agriculture such as drone, AI, etc., limited number of field visits are organized to various institutions and less no of skill based practical sessions. Important suggestions made by the agricultural input dealers were number of field visits should be increased, course curriculum of DAESI should be updated with latest technology in agriculture such as drone, AI, etc., refresher training should be provided to DAESI input dealers and skill based practical sessions should be increased..
