Conflict of Interest Policy

Purpose
To maintain the integrity and transparency of the publication process, IJAI requires authors, editors, and reviewers to disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to the submitted work. A conflict of interest occurs when personal, financial, academic, or professional affiliations could inappropriately influence — or be perceived to influence — an individual's objectivity, judgment, or actions.

Policy for Authors

Authors must disclose:

  • Financial relationships (e.g., funding, grants, consultancy, employment, stock ownership) related to the submitted research.
  • Non-financial relationships (e.g., personal relationships, academic competition, intellectual beliefs) that could affect the interpretation of their work.
  • All sources of research funding.

A conflict of interest statement must be included at the time of manuscript submission.

Policy for Editors and Reviewers

Editors and reviewers must:

  • Recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which they have a conflict (personal, financial, or professional).
  • Maintain confidentiality and impartiality throughout the review process.
  • Declare any potential conflict to the editorial office immediately.

Disclosure and Transparency

All disclosed conflicts of interest will be published alongside the article. If no conflicts exist, a statement declaring “The authors declare no conflict of interest” will be included.
